If it Rains Pancakes: Haiku and Lantern Poems
Written by: Brian P. Cleary

Cleary, B., & Rowland, A. (2014). If it rains pancakes: haiku and lantern poems. Millbrook Press.
This book is a collection of a variety of poems in the form of haiku and lantern poetry. They are both Japanese forms. The poems are silly, light-hearted, sweet, and sad. There is a mix of everything which makes this book multidimensional and proves poetry can be written to portray many different feelings.
Good resource for teaching haiku poems. They are simple and give emotion and are relatable to students, which will aid them in learning to write this type of poetry.
